Deco M9 plus Setup: Complete Instructions

Steps to Follow for Deco M9 plus Setup

All you have to do is, follow these steps one-by-one and carefully to finish the Deco M9 plus setup.

Download Deco App

You have to first download the app which is ‘Deco App’ and it is available for both the devices; iOS and Android. After download is complete, open the app; log in to the app or create an account.

Unbox and Power on Deco Units

You have to unbox your Deco M9 Plus units and select one unit to connect with a modem which will work as a main router. After unboxing all the units, just simply plugin your first unit into a wall socket and power it on. Now, wait for the LED on a main router to start blinking blue which means it is ready to setup.

Connect Deco with Modem

Make a connection between your main router and a modem, router. To connect use an Ethernet cable, plugin the one end of the Ethernet cable to the Modem LAN port and other end to the main unit.

Launch Deco App

Now, you have to open the app and follow the on-screen to detect your Deco M9 Plus on app. After you open the app, select your model of Deco M9 Plus from the available list of models. Then app will ask you to verify that your Deco is powered on and connected with the modem. Once it is verified, tap next. After that you will be asked to assign a location for this deco unit, such as living room, bed room etc.; to identify the unit from the app.

Create WiFi network

In a Deco app, you have to create a WiFi network and password and you can use those credentials to log in to your WiFi network. Once entered, tap next and the Deco will configure the network.

Final Step

Once the Deco units are setup, the app will scan and run through final check and will confirm that network is operational. You can now connect your devices like tabs, laptop or mobile phone with the new WiFi network using the SSID and password, which you set earlier.
