Deco Flashing White Light: Meaning and Solution

TP-Link Deco is a mesh WiFi device and you will see many lights color on it time by time. There are different light colors such as Deco blinking blue, red, green and white. How to Fix Deco Flashing White light?

Firmware Update

Go to the Deco app, and click on the device’s image.
Then click on the Advanced Settings into the Settings option.
Here find the Upgrading Firmware option click on it.

Note: If there is already an updated version of firmware here then you do not need to update it again.

If there is outdated version, then click on the update Latest Firmware.
And download and install it.
After that you don’t see the flashing white again.

Check Hardware Connection

If the white light is flashing again on the deco after updating the firmware, then you need to check some hardware connection.

Ensure that there is no power cut during firmware process.
Check all the network and power cables are in good condition.
And also check network cables are fitted to their right ports.
Make sure the Deco child nodes and parent node are connected properly.
Do power cycle on all the deco devices.
Reset the Deco devices by using the reset button on the device.
